(LEEDS, ON) – The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after executing a search warrant with assistance from Brockville Police Service. 

In 2022, CSCU began an investigation in to reports of drug trafficking in Brockville and surrounding areas. 

As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed on June 2, 2022 at approximately 6:00 a.m., at an address on Buell Street in Brockville, with assistance from the Brockville Police Service Emergency Response Team.

CSCU officers located and seized suspected cocaine, suspected crack cocaine and suspected hydromorphone tablets with an estimated street value of just over $3700. They also seized digital scales, packaging material and a quantity of cash. 

Reggie MONETHER, 63 years old, of Brockville, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Controlled Drugs and Services Act (CDSA) 5(2) – Three counts

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – CC 354(1)(a)

The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
